Build The Perfect Putting Stroke

TimHow would you like to build a perfect putting stroke that is:

  • Reliable
  • Consistent
  • Doesn’t break down under pressure
  • Makes you feel confident every time you reach for the putter

For those of you that already play golf, you’ll know that changing any part of your golf game including your putting stroke doesn’t happen overnight. And if you are a complete beginner, ask anyone who already plays and they’ll confirm that as well!

To become a great putter and build a perfect putting stroke will take time, but it’s not difficult if you:

  • Understand the different parts of the putting stroke such as the grip and alignment (there are many more elements)
  • Are shown how to work on these yourself
  • Practise the correct drills to ingrain them into your memory. This is a crucial element of all parts of golf practise. There is no point in practising the wrong things in golf – in fact you’d probably improve more by sitting at home watching the pro’s putting stroke’s on the TV instead of practising the wrong things!

If you’ve ever had a lesson with a PGA professional, you’ll know that when you change even the smallest thing it can feel pretty odd! The same will be true when you change your putting stroke, but stick with your putting lessons and practise drills and you’ll soon start getting more putts close from long range, holing a few monsters (some will still call you lucky), and in match-play situations your friends won’t even bother asking you to putt from within 3 feet because you will never miss!!!
